The Bell 230 reminds many modellers of the familiar Bell 222 V from our main catalogue. Actually the full-size Bell 230 is nothing more than a 222 with more powerful engines, although it does feature minor modifications such as the seating arrangement, radar, etc. Our turbine-powered model is based on the full-size machine.

The model incorporates GRP technology which substantially shortens the required building time. The installation of the retractable undercarriage alone is a real time-saver, as it utilises ready-made GRP supports fitted in the stub wings. The supports in the fuselage for the mechanical system are also based on a GRP sub-structure. The fueltank - itself a GRP moulding - doubles up as a support for the undercarriage; the retractable undercarriage is mounted on the transverse member below the tank.

The tail rotor drive system consists of a proven 8 mm Ø ballraced stainless steel drive shaft.

If you are keen on scale appearance we can also supply cockpit accessories such as seats, pilots, safety harnesses, fire extinguishers etc. Naturally functional doors can be installed.

This model is versatile enough to accept various makes of turbine mechanics.
The model shown in the illustrations is fitted out with optional scale accessories.
